What makes a blog popular?

What’s the point of writing / blogging if no one reads your posts? Could be for the pleasure of writing, sure, but most bloggers love interactivity.

Many also write to get visitors on their webpages hoping that they will click on the advertisement thus making money out of blogging.

In all cases, making your webpage popular is a necessity.
Therefore, the one million dollar question (I love this expression) coming to my mind is: What makes a blog popular?

First, let get back to interactivity: It is in my opinion, the cause and the consequence of popularity.
That’s a bit of problem if your website is not popular to start with, right??
Then again, when creating a blog, it can not be popular until it is read and appreciated.

Here is my advice to all new comers in blogging: Be smart, choose a popular topic to blog about! I can already hear you say it – I know, it’s not a wonderful advice – it’s just common sense.

If you are in the clothing industry, research what topics related to clothing are popular.
I did just that, and using a few online tools I found out that the popular topics about clothing line are:
- akoo clothing line (the new clothing line by rapper TI)
- sasha fierce clothiing line (the new clothing line by Beyonce)

The logic next step is to make a quick search about the above mentioned, then write a few lines giving an honest opinion about what’s going on.

Add a couple of nice pictures and recommend a good website about the chosen topic – for example: TI clothing line.

Of course, all of the above also means making your homework. If you are passionated about what you write about, you would know about it anyway.
